Last night I was about to fall asleep after a long day working, and I came across a How It's Made video on YouTube about honey and how they extract it from the hives. I was so interested I wound up spending two hours researching the different types of hives and how the bees make honey etc. Whenever I see something interesting I wind up trying to figure out as much as possible about it and with bees and honey I wound up finding a newish product called the Flow Hive that makes it possible to not have to destroy the honeycomb that the bees make so when you are harvesting, the bees have less work to make more honey. It's really fascinating and you should check out the video below. It really is mesmerizing seeing the honey drip out of the hive. It almost makes me want to be a bee keeper!
