Strength, precision and absolute luck could score you a free t-shirt, wallet or even VIP viewing tickets to select sets at the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival. G.H. Bass & Co. is building an old-school carnival at the June 10-12 festival in Hunter, N.Y., and of course it’s free for festival ticket holders.

VIP viewing upgrades to see Kid Rock, Frankie Ballard, Kenny Chesney, Gary Allan or Jake Owen are the big prize, but there are hundreds of giveaways for men and women to be handed out during the three-day fest. Anyone who stops by the booth can be a winner — in fact, everyone will score in-store or online credit to G.H. Bass & Co., and there will also be plenty of free food and beverages.

It won’t take you long to find the carnival. Look for the 14-foot bell tower that challenges country fans to test their strength. There’s also a penny loafer toss and a wheel to spin. You'll be able to walk away with a free tattoo (temporary, of course) just for visiting, and there will also be cotton candy and iced tea. The G.H. Bass & Co. carnival is sure to be the talk of the midway in 2016.

Chesney, Owen and Kid Rock are the three Taste of Country Festival headliners, but the fourth annual lineup also features Big & Rich, Old Dominion, Eric Paslay, Neal McCoy and more. The venue at Hunter Mountain is the most beautiful in the country. The main stage is nestled at the bottom of a ski hill, creating a natural amphitheater for fans to fill. The Catskill Mountains provide an unforgettable backdrop, but it’s the offstage events, booths and food that keep people coming back year after year.
