In this weeks edition of Wellness Wednesday brought to you by Medical Center Hospital I begin my fitness journey at Mission Fitness!

Let me start off by saying that Mission Fitness is an amazing facility. The equipment, the staff, the classes and the opportunity are second to none.

When you sign up at Mission Fitness you are provided a physical assessment. You are tested on push ups crunches and flexibility. Mine was ok but it wasn't great. My flexibility was actually really good.

In beginning my journey at Mission Fitness I have started working out with one of the trainers Mark! ( who I thought was going to be my friend LOL) I am on my second week of training three times a week with Mark and not only does every part of my body hurt but I am feeling so much better and have so much more energy.

In this journey it's all about taking small steps, I know it may not seem like much to some, but I was able to jog straight for 10 minutes without stopping or slowing down. That's alot for me, because when I was lot heavier, it was hard for me to just keep a brisk walk.

Making progress and getting stronger feels so good. It puts an extra pep in your step.
