Country newcomers are both clever and creative in their efforts to get fans to vote for them for those precious and all-important Academy of Country Music Awards. Singer Hunter Hayes, who also nabbed a Grammy nomination, adopted an infinitely stylish way to encourage fans to pony up more ACM votes: he offered up his best impression of James Bond.

In the short clip, Hayes is shown cruising on a rain-slicked street in an all-black ride -- likely an Aston Martin, which is what Bond drives -- while adorned in a black tux with a bowtie. The only thing missing is 007's now-former signature drink, the martini, which, obviously, he wouldn't be able to toss back until after he parked and was no longer behind the wheel. But we're suspending disbelief for a few seconds here in trying to believe Hayes-as-Bond.

The 21-year-old singer's face is obscured in much of the clip, but the sleek and slick imaging is "different" for the 'Wanted' singer. The prevailing message is that one vote is not enough, so get to it, Hunter Hayes fans. It's a matter of national security, if you buy the Bond metaphor.

The 2013 ACMs will air on April 7. Hayes is nominated in a fan-voted newcomer category. Have your voice be heard by voting.
