Kermit and Miss Piggy Calling It Quits: Say It Isn’t So!

First, came the news that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were getting divorced.  Then we were rocked by the news that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert already signed the papers and are now single.  This week, we heard that Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock are separating.  Right on the heels of that, we read that Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are separating.

But now the straw that broke the camel's back.  It has been announced that "after careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship."

Don't get me wrong, I always thought a relationship between a frog and a pig was a little strange.   But come on!  It was Kermit and Miss Piggy!

Obviously, the summer of 2015 has not been a good one for Hollywood marriages.  Let's hope for better news for the rest of the year.

Meanwhile, "The Muppets" will debut this fall, Tuesdays at 7pm on ABC.
