Country artist and famed actress Laura Bell Bundy is mourning the loss of her father, Donald R. Bundy, this week. He was 75 when he died at home on Monday (June 18), leaving behind wife Vicki, two daughters, including Laura, two stepchildren and many grandchildren.

Soon after his death, the younger Bundy expressed her sadness over losing the man that she described as both bold and gentle.

"Papa, I never got enough time with you," she writes with a flashback picture of her and her dad. "I would soak up our time together like a sponge. If there was a house and the guest was all my memories with you, I’d turn on all the the faucets slip into it’s structure and just drown myself in its joy. We understood each other."

Laura Bell Bundy, who saw success in country music with songs "Giddy on Up" and "Two Step," continues about the many memories she shared with her father over the years, along with how his spirit will now live on in her life.

"I’ll see you in the moon, the birds, the beach, yellow hues, financial news, epiphanies, Motown symphonies, dance floors, and in how I walk in this journey," she says.

Don Bundy had been in declining health for awhile, but was on hand at her 2017 marriage ceremony to TBS executive Thom Hinkle.

Three weeks ago, the country singer lost her grandmother. Still, she returned to the stage Wednesday (June 20) for opening night of the musical Sweet Charity. "This show must go on ... just like life," she says. “But I know my dad and my grandma will be out there with the best seats in the house."
