Maddie & Tae have released a special music video for their song "Fly," featuring patients from Nashville's Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The clip shows the country duo interacting with patients at the Music City hospital, and also gives some of the kids a moment in the spotlight. Video snippets show the children performing on stage -- playing guitars, singing and dancing -- and interacting with their doctors; they're all smiles, despite the fact that they're going through some tough times that no child should ever have to endure.

Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye are partnered with the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital as artist ambassadors for the Shine Bright campaign, a collaboration between the hospital and the Nashville Predators NHL hockey team.

“Seeing the light and joy in the eyes of the patients we were able to sing and play with would brighten anyone’s day,” Tae Dye says in a press release. “Knowing people find something encouraging in this music is the greatest gift we can be given.”

Adds Marlow, "And supporting the Shine Bright campaign, especially interacting with the patients and caregivers at Children’s Hospital, has been one of the most rewarding things we’ve done."

The Shine Bright campaign encourages people to write notes of encouragement to the Children's Hospital's patients and staff. More information is available on the official Shine Bright website.
