The Dallas Cowboys may be America's Team, but not everyone roots for them.

According to an affidavit, a man in Austin, Tex. has been charged with murder after he allegedly killed his stepmother last Sunday because she celebrated a Dallas Cowboys win a little too much.

The father of Pontrey O’Neal Jones, 20, had watched the Cowboys defeat the Buccaneers with the victim and Jones returned from stepping outside to find his stepmother, Magdelena Ruiz, "disrespecting his father and gloating about how the Cowboys won the game."

He reportedly took a knife that he hid in a couch and stabbed Ruiz several times. Jones, who police claim had originally planned to break his little sister's neck, ran from the scene, but police found him a short time later. It's not clear why he had initially intended to go after his sister.
