Miranda Lambert is leading her MuttNation Foundation team into a third straight day of rescuing animals in Houston in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

The dog-loving country singer posed for an early-morning photo on MuttNation Foundation’s Instagram page on Thursday (Aug. 31), flashing the peace sign next to four cute little rescued pups and writing, “We’re starting Day #3 in Houston!! Good morning from @mirandalambert and the pups!!”

Lambert and MuttNation Foundation hit the ground running in Houston on Tuesday (Aug. 29) after traveling to her devastated home state in a convoy of trucks, vans and campers. They rescued 72 dogs in a single day, including a mama dog (whom Lambert named Ashley as a tribute to fellow new mom Ashley Monroe) and her pups who were so adorable that Lambert ended up sharing her bed with them that night.

Day 2 was also a big success, with Lambert and her team helping to clear out another 62 animals from the Houston Humane Society.

“Just a reminder that we are clearing out animals that were already in the shelters before the storm hit so that there is room for all of the displaced and lost animals from Hurricane Harvey!” MuttNation writes.

The foundation is reaching out for some of the most immediate needs, posting to Instagram with the details about drop-off locations in Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma for essential items including paper towels, Clorox wipes, treats, litter, blankets, towels and more. There are also details on how to adopt a pet and a link to the Foundation’s Amazon wish list.
