So yesterday I was combing through Facebook and came across and interesting article about the clothing store Abercrombie and Fitch. If you are over weight they don't want you in their clothes.

The CEO has made it clear that he only want beautiful people shopping in his stores. But his definition of beautiful people is someone slighted. His definition is skinny and trim, unless you are an athlete.

Here is a quote from CEO Mike Jefferies

“He doesn’t want larger people shopping in his store, he wants thin and beautiful people,” Lewis said. “He doesn’t want his core customers to see people who aren’t as hot as them wearing his clothing. People who wear his clothing should feel like they’re one of the ‘cool kids.’”

He goes on to point out that the reason you don't see sizes XL and XXL for women in their stores is because if you are that size he doesn't want you in there.

I was blown away reading this. Who in his right mind, does he think he is, when he himself is no model material.

I don't even know what to say to these. We wonder why people grow up with issues. This is bullying on the worst level.

A person's beauty is not determined by their size, or the color of their skin or hair, or the height or their religion. We wonder why kids commit suicide, or have eating disorders, or harm themselves. This man is promoting bullying and segregation.

I pray for this man because he is obviously not a happy person. If he has to go around being mean to people he is the one with problem. And on another hand his store would make more money if he allowed everyone in.

Growing up as an over weight child, people have no idea how hard it is with out people adding to it. Kids are mean enough without having department stores adding to it. This story breaks my heart. It takes me back to being a kid being picked on and called names. Being a kid that just wanted to be like everyone and wear the same clothes that everyone else did. For someone to be so deliberate about this is just sad.

A few months ago people wanted to boycott Chick-Fil-A because "PC" or didn't show equality! Where is the equality in this? People often turn their heads at this issue. People should be treated the same on all levels.

This just in fat is not contagious and you won't be harmed if you are near an overweight person, you might just be blessed.
