The Joys (and Fees) of Moving in West Texas! What’s Your Experience Been?

For the last 11 years, I've lived in the same apartment in Midland.  For over a year, I've been looking to buy a small house or townhouse.  As you know, buying a house in the Basin isn't as easy as it used to be!

I finally found a townhouse in the middle of town at a price I can afford.

One of the first things I had to do is inform my apartment management I’d be moving (why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?).   That’s when the fees kicked in. Carpet cleaning fee.  Utility termination fee.  Final water bill.   Move out fees.

And I thought it was the airlines that were the experts on fees!

As the moving (and fees) continue, I’ll keep you up to date on this new adventure!
