This Oscar Winning Hunk Got His Break In A Trisha Yearwood Video

You will never guess who got his big break in a Trisha Yearwood Video!

Back in 1992 a 23 year old young hunk was cast out of an Austin talent agency by the name of Matthew McConaughey. That's right Matthew McConaughey was cast for the male role in Trisha's "Walk Away Joe" video.

Trisha never met Matthew face to face because her part was shot in Nashville and his was shot in Austin, but she did tell People....

"He was cast from local talent in Austin, Tex., where the footage was shot," Yearwood tells PEOPLE. "The performance with Don Henley was shot in Nashville, so I never met Matthew. About 10 years ago, we were both at the Grammys and trying to connect but we kept missing each other – he was backstage when I was in the audience, and vice-versa." 

Would Trisha ever have him back in a video? Her response to People was....

"Honestly, I'm so happy to see him recognized for his work in Dallas Buyers Club," she says. "And if he ever wants to be in another Trisha Yearwood video, I won't make him audition."
