This was on my doorstep this morning

Maybe it's a West Texas tradition?

I stepped outside this morning, and there was a pumpkin on my doorstep.  Maybe it's a tradition to provide a pumpkin for someone who doesn't have one or hasn't decorated for the season?

Maybe next month there will be a turkey?  Of course, I'd have to figure out how to cook it?
