You all know the Kentucky Derby is one of my favorite events of the year. I just love the southern tradition that oozes from the seams. I have all intentions of attending one of these years lol It's just because I want to wear one the get ups.

This year we have another reason to watch the Derby. A West Texas Native, named Brad Grady, a graduate of McCamey High School owns a horse running in the race. Girvin, named after Girvin, Texas is owned by Grady, his jockey, Micheal E Smith will represent Grady's hometown by wearing the colors of his alma mater, black and orange.
