A History Lesson Flag Day

Today is Flag Day. Most people don't even know that today is Flag Day or what it even represents.

Today celebrates the day we adopted the flag of the United States of America on June 14, 1777, as a resolution of the 2nd Continental Congress. It wasn't until 1916, that President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed June 14th, as the official day. It is not a federal holiday, but it is recognized as the official day, we adopted our flag.

Today is also the birthday of the United States Army. American adopted the continental army on June 14, 1775.
