ACM ‘s All Star Salute To The Troops

Last night CBS aired the ACM's All Star Salute to the Troops. I had the pleasure of being at the taping of the show. It was so amazing. Country stars sang with member of the military and Toby Keith was honored by the USO.

My two favorite performances of the night were Carrie Underwood and The Band Perry. Carried Underwood co-wrote "Keep Us Safe" just for this event. You can download the song now and all proceeds go to the ACM Lifting Lives organization.

It was really neat to watch how the finished product came together on TV. The way the show was shot is not the way it appeared on TV. It was all recorded live but no one performed in the order it was aired. TV production is so magical. Several of the artist had to sing their songs twice. There were retakes and do overs. It was cool to see how a TV show comes together.
