It Was 55 Years Ago Today
55 years ago today, country music lost someone who would have gone on to be one of the biggest stars in country music.
March 5,1963, the world lost country star Patsy Cline. At the age of 30 we lost Patsy Cline in a plane crash out side Camden, TN.
Born, Virginia Patterson Hensley, Patsy Cline would become a pioneer of country music. Known for her unique voice and bold lyrics at the time, she was one of the first to ever crossover to pop.
She also influenced many of the artist we know today, Reba, Carrie Underwood, Tammy Wynette and more.
Her catalog includes hits like "Walking After Midnight," "Crazy" and "I Fall to Pieces."
Pasty Cline was definitely gone was too soon.
