April starts the season of the "Fests," probably the best time of the year for country fans (at least in my opinion). Its a time where you can see multiple artists maybe even multiple times if you want to go to more than one festival, and there are a few here in Texas that are stupendous; even one that's in our own backyard.

Crude Fest 2017 is just around the corner with most of the biggest names in Texas/Red Dirt music with less than 40 days to go. Among the greats Josh Abbott Band, Cody Johnson, and Stoney Larue are headlining this year's event. Flatland Calvary and Judson Cole Band are some newcomers. Make sure you make your way over to thecrudefest.com to get your tickets and reserve your campsite cause May will soon be upon us.

Another Texas festival next month, Off the Rails Country Music Fest is in Frisco May 5th and 6th and this year features artists like Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert and the ACM's 2017 Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean. If you truly want an awesome festival experience with a little bit of traveling check out Off the Rails.

Make sure to check out Taste of Country's 2017 Country Music Festivals Guide, including this week's Country Thunder in Florence, Arizona. Tell us if you're going to Crude Fest or any festivals this year! Comment with your favorite destination.
