Kelsea Ballerini won Breakthrough Female of the Year at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards. To mark the occasion, the singer took to the stage to sing her popular song "Dibs."

Ballerini wore knee-high black boots that matched her black dress, which was fitted with lights that changed colors throughout her performance. These bright lights matched the stage design behind the singer; the screens showed swirling neon colors in addition to perfectly timed emojis. The fun and playful stage design was a great pairing for the fun and flirty song that helped make a name for the country newcomer.

After catching her breath, Ballerini walked over to accept her award. She told the crowd how amazing it was to hear her music on the radio -- something that she had always imagined as a little girl -- and thanked those who helped make it happen.

Ballerini released “Dibs” in July. Shortly before its release, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” her first single,  hit No. 1. She is currently promoting her third single, “Peter Pan.” All three songs appear on her debut album, The First Time, which is available via iTunes.
