This morning, as I was preping for my show, I came across an article about washing your face and how you could be causing more damage, than doing good.

At this age in my life I am doing everything I can to stop the signs of aging. Luckily for me I have great aging genes and good skin.

Like I said this morning, as I was getting ready for my show I cam across an article, explaining how we could be washing our faces all wrong. Yahoo's article listed four ways we could be harming our skin.

1.  Not washing your hands first.  If your hands are dirty when you wash your face, you end up rubbing MORE oil and bacteria into your skin.

2.  Exfoliating too much.  Doing it every day dries out your skin, so you should really only be doing it once or twice a week.

3.  Scrubbing too hard.  You're supposed to use a gentle circular motion.  If you're too aggressive, it can actually cause more wrinkles.

4.  Using cold water.  Warm water helps open your pores, and cold water closes them up again.  So you should wash your face with warm water, and then rinse with cold.

I am guilty of a few of these. I want to make sure I get all the make up off, so I use a scrub everyday. And I always use hot water. I never even thought about using cold water to rinse my face.

I hope you find these as some helpful tips.
