Lee Brice talked about embarrassing his kids, being left at the airport by a country legend and that time an onstage marriage proposal didn't go as planned during his interview before his Country Jam Colorado appearance.

The "I Don't Dance" singer prepared for a headlining set at Country Jam by talking to fans and Taste of Country in the Country Club. In the end, this memorable proposal went okay, but it took some work to get there.

“I actually let him come on stage," Brice recalls, smiling. "And he kept talking to me in the microphone and he was supposed to be down on a knee.”

“‘Oh yeah, hey, will you marry me?’”

"I Drive Your Truck" turned into a military tribute on Thursday night (June 16) in Mack Colo., with fans as far as the campground lighting up their phones in honor of the troops. Brice has family in the military and says the daily stories he gets from veterans and active duty military personnel — and their families — keep him humble. On a night of many highlights, this may have been No. 1 for some fans.

Of course, hearing Brice talk about abusing Tyler Farr and being left at the airport by Hal Ketchum were great, too. Watch the video to learn those stories, and then learn Farr's version of events.
