Yesterday, Midland City Council approved local kid's family based business Chuck E. Cheese to sell alcohol. On the surface this may sound like a not so family friendly idea, but it actually came with a strict set of rules.

Multiple councilmen said they came into the meeting set to vote against the action, until they heard the plan.

Chuck E. Cheese plans to stick to the strict rules of everyone will be carded and will only be served two six out beverages, and no one can purchase a drink for someone else. In other words that would work out to one twelve ounce drink.

The permit is based on a two year term and will be reviewed every two years, to make sure terms are being upheld.

I want to know  your thoughts on this issue. Do you think family themed restaurants should serve alcohol?
