My New Hobby – Let’s See if I Can Play Guitar!

Gwen is on vacation, Buddy is on vacation and all is quiet at Lonestar 92.  Well, not quite.

You see, over Christmas, I visited my mom in San Angelo.  While there, I noticed she had the Home Shopping Network on.  I don't usually pay attention to HSN but Keith Urban was performing.  I thought that was strange until I saw what was happening:  He has a line of guitars he is selling.  It was a 30 piece set with a guitar, amp, case, picks, extra strings, the whole 9 yards!

Since I had enjoyed a few spiked eggnogs, I ordered one!  Now, I have no idea how to play.  I can't play any instrument!  But I've always wanted to learn.  I thought, "what the heck, no time like the present!"  Today, my box from HSN came in and I now have my new guitar.  I downloaded a tuning app to my iPhone and have tuned it up.  I'm beginning to learn chords.  I'll keep you updated on my progress.  Hopefully, I'll keep up practicing and who knows, maybe you'll see me on stage one day with Frankie Ballard...but I doubt it!
