Permian Basin Under A Red Flag Warning

The Permian Basin is under a Red Flag Warning for today.

A red flag warning mean conditions  are ideal for wildland fire combustion, and rapid spread. This is a warning issued by the National Weather Service.

With the high winds, high temperatures, and dry conditions fires could be easily spread. Don't throw things out the window of your cares. Don't burn trash, and be aware when welding.

Yesterday, Midland saw a fire that came very close to housing in Midland.  But was contained quickly.

Also watch out for high profile vehicles on the road, in these high winds it makes them harder to maneuver.
