This week, a contractor will be working on Midland Drive between Andrews Highway and Illinois avenue. A single lane will be used at Midland Drive and Cuthbert and on Midland Drive near Andrews Highway. You will still be able to get to the businesses in this work zone.

Work is also being done on Midkiff Road between Illinois Avenue and Golf Course Road. You can expect some lane closures while they work on manhole covers, but traffic in both directions will be maintained along Midkiff Road and Golf Course road at all times. You will still be able to get to the businesses in this work zone.

Work will continue on Scharbauer Drive between A Street and Lamesa Road. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane of Scharbauer drive will be closed. Some streets adjacent to Scharbauer drive will be closed for short periods of time, but all businesses and homes near the work zone will still be accessible.

Starting today, work will begin on Fairgrounds Road between Pine Avenue and Front Street. One northbound and one southbound lane will be closed, but two way traffic will be maintained. Some streets adjacent to Fairgrounds Road will be closed for short periods of time, but you will be able to get to all the properties near the work zone.
Starting this week, workers will be working on Golf Course Road between Tilden Street and Lamesa Road. During this time, be on the look out for lane closures, but two way traffic will be maintained on Golf Course Road. Some streets near Golf Course Road will be closed for short periods of time.

A work crew is going to continue its work near Clarewood Drive and Greenville Drive next week. The 6000 block of Clarewood Drive will remain closed to through traffic as road repairs continue. You could see some adjacent streets closed off for short periods of time.
The city is going to be repairing a water line on Lamesa Road at Golf Course Road next week. A single lane will be closed off as they work. The project is expected to be complete by May 10.
Resurfacing the Ward Street Bridge between Ward Street and Garfield Street is on hold, but once franchise utilities relocate their lines, they will get back to work, possibly in mid to late May. During this time, access to the alley will be limited to local residents only.
And a work crew is building streets and alleys in the Sparks Park Target Area. They include Jackson Street, Hamby Avenue and Jax Avenue. All the properties in the area will be accessible during construction.
