Thirty One Years Ago All Eyes Were On Midland

Thirty one years ago today, the whole world watched as "Baby Jessica" was pulled from the well.

Eighteen Month Jessica McClure had fallen in a well in her back yard one October afternoon while her mother stepped in the house to answer the phone. "Baby Jessica" was trapped in the well for 58 hours when finally rescued.

I remember going home every night and watching on Big 2 news the coverage of rescue. A few years after the rescue they even made a tv movie about the event that gained world wide attention.

Jessica is now 33, is a wife and a mother and resides in Greenwood.
