It seems like everyday or every few days someone is killed on our roads. It is so saddening how often this happens. When you hear of this kind of news, you may stop for a minute and say a quick prayer for the families, or pause for a moment to think how sad it is. But it doesn't really hit your heart until it happens to someone you know.

Yesterday in the small town of Seminole, on  a small town street, someone I know was killed. Someone who is my age and I went to high school with.

I know in life we are not supposed to ask why. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and God is always in control. But in this situation it is so hard not to ask why.

A young woman named Arley was killed Saturday afternoon. She was a person who lit up the world. She was so sweet and so kind. She was also a very funny person, who touched so many lives. She truly did God's work here on earth. I don't think there is one person who could say one bad thing about her.

It is so hard to believe that such a great person is no longer with us anymore. It totally breaks my heart for her family and all the lives she touched.

On the the selfish side, she was my age, it could happen to even the best of people. We always think, it could never happen to me. We live recklessly and for the moment, not knowing when it could be our last.

The most awesome thing I can say about Arley is she touched everyone in the world around her. Life wasn't just about her, it was about what she could do for others. I pray I could only come close to touching people's lives the way she did. When God said let your light she......SHE DID! Arley you will truly be missed.
