In this week's Wellness Wednesday, brought to you by Medical Center Hospital, we are going to talk about what to do when you're away from the gym.

We all know that life happens and sometimes we can't always get to the gym. My mom has recently been in the hospital so I haven't been able to hit the gym. So I knew I had to tight things up.

I had to be cautious about my diet and my exercise. From time to time I would get up and walk around the hospital, no it's not some strenuous cardio but it was activity. I would take the stairs instead of the elevator! It sure feels different to tackle some stairs and not be ready to pass out!  I also make sure I drank plenty of water!

Don't let not being able to go tot the gym be an excuse! You can still find a way to get active!
