Today Is World Suicide Prevention Day

As of 2011 on average there are 3,000 suicides every day. In the past couple of years this area has seen a rise in teen suicide, which is truly sad.

In so many cases of suicide people always say, "well they didn't show any signs." There don't always have to be signs. And in different situations some people do show signs of depression or suicidal tendencies.

I encourage you today and every day to uplift someone. Try to always smile, try to always have a kind word, and never be too busy for someone. Sometimes the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference.

Today people are encouraged to wear yellow, turquoise or purple to show your support. Many are also writing LOVE on their arms.
